Advent means ‘coming’ or ‘arrival’, and it is the time in the church’s year when we look forward to the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, at Christmas. If we are to be ready to celebrate that birth then we need to prepare carefully for it. Just as we will take time to buy presents, order food and write Christmas cards, so also we need to take time to get ready to welcome
Jesus, born as a baby in Bethlehem. Here are three ways we can do that.
